The General Idea
My name is Jill Mueller, and I love everything design. My favorite design fields are Interior Design and Architecture. I graduated from North Dakota State University in Interior Merchandising, and I also minored in the Visual Arts and Business. I took a photography class for fun and fell in love. All the images on this site were taken by me. I use my photos as inspiration for design projects.
Two years after graduation, I decided to return to NDSU to pursue a CIDA accredited degree in interior design. But in the time between, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to intern for the fun and insanely talented ladies at Fiddlehead Design Group (FDG) in Minneapolis. They showed me how colorful and unexpected design could be...even in Minnesota. One of the designers at FDG is a passionate kitchen and bath designer, and I decided to follow in her footsteps. I started my job as a interior designer at Renovation Systems focusing on multi-family kitchen and bath design. I was able to design a couple community rooms along the way as well. I gained valuable experience on creating bids and working with sub contractors, but multi-family wasn't my passion. I live and breathe residential and hospitality/retail design.
I'm also an avid golfer, so I was ecstatic to find 2Hemispheres where they focus on golf related interiors and branding. I'm currently contracting with them as an environmental designer.
When I'm not immersed in everything design (which is rare), I like to hang out with anyone's dog, walk and explore the city of Minneapolis, golf up north with my family, and READ! I'm a Harry Potter fan and know just about every line. The worst part about being busy is not having enough time to sit in a cozy chair with a cup of coffee close by flipping pages of a book.
